Bob Raggio

Lieutenant General, US Air Force (Retired)

Lieutenant General Bob Raggio, USAF (Ret), has over 40 years of direct experience in acquisition and program management of highly complex aerospace systems with a proven record of solid leadership on over twenty major development programs. An experienced leader, accomplished strategic planner and excellent communicator with superb organizational, administrative, and people skills, General Raggio consults with CEOs and presidents of major aerospace companies.

Significant Career Accomplishments

  • Commanded the Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) (now the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)), the USAF’s largest acquisition center responsible for acquiring all aeronautical weapon systems.
  • Successfully developed program and contracting strategies and supervised program execution for all major USAF fighter and bomber programs as the program executive officer (PEO). The portfolio included F-15, F-16, F-22, F-117, B-1 and B-2 aircraft with total annual budgets of over $6B.
  • Responsible for all efforts on the $2B F-22 air dominance fighter acquisition from initiation to completion of the design leading to a successful first flight—while maintaining all cost, schedule and performance milestones.
