Mr. Garry Richey has over 30 years of experience in weapon systems logistics support. As the director of logistics, installations and mission support, HQ Air Education and Training Command (AETC), he was responsible for aircraft maintenance, supply, transportation, contracting, civil engineering, and security forces support for 13 flying and training wings and oversaw AETC weapon system support to include contractor logistics support (CLS), depot programmed equipment maintenance (DPEM), sustaining engineering, and technical orders (TOs). Mr. Richey provides insight and strategy for defense related businesses, both large and small, in support of Department of Defense (DOD) sustainment activities and specializes in strategy and proposal development support for defense companies seeking DOD contracts.

Significant Career Accomplishments

  • Senior civilian at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC), responsible for assisting the commander in providing worldwide logistics support for assigned weapon systems, including the KC-135, E-3, B-1, B-52, B-2, and the USAF jet engine fleet.
  • Executed policy, budget and oversight of HQ Air Mobility Command’s (AMC) maintenance, supply, contracting, and transportation activities and directed AMC’s worldwide logistics personnel.
  • Directed a wide range of logistics services to include requirement determination, spares acquisition, provisioning, cataloging, disposal and implementation of supply chain management (SCM) throughout Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC)
  • Served as source selection authority (SSA) for large acquisitions up to $500M in support of AETC bases.
