Gordy Fornell

Lieutenant General, US Air Force (Retired)

Lieutenant General Gordy Fornell, USAF (Ret), has over 50 years of acquisition experience including senior leadership positions in Air Force Systems Command (AFSC) and Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC). He commanded the Armament Division at Eglin AFB, FL, and the Electronic Systems Center (ESC) at Hanscom AFB, MA, and served as Senior Military Assistant to two Secretaries of Defense, Casper W. Weinberger and Frank C. Carlucci. In addition, General Fornell was responsible for aircraft, engine, C3I, electronic combat, and intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) programs at the USAF headquarters level; was the KC-10 program director; and a test pilot on various programs at Edwards AFB, CA, and Wright Patterson AFB, OH.
