Dayton Aerospace is honored to be the presenting sponsor of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (DPAA) 2019-2020 Military Appreciation Program and a charter sponsor of the new Military Family Scholarship Fund.

The Military Appreciation Program provides two sets of two complimentary tickets to active-duty military members, retired veterans and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) government civilian employees in the Miami Valley to performances by the Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera and Dayton Philharmonic.

The Military Family Scholarship Fund is a new DPAA program starting in 2020 designed to address the cost and life disruption challenges faced by military families moving to the area. The fund will help cover the fees and costs for military family children who want to take part in DPAA after-school arts programs—programs that help ease a child’s transition and integration into a new community.

“Our defense-focused company consists almost entirely of retired senior military leaders and Department of Defense (DoD) civilian employees. As such, we know first hand the sacrifices and challenges faced by those who serve our Nation. Our support of these important programs reflects our gratitude and commitment to the brave men and women who keep us safe,” says Dayton Aerospace president and retired US Air Force Colonel, Jim Ratti.

Tickets for eligible performances (listed here) are available at Ticket Center Stage, located in the Wintergarden of the Schuster Center at 1 W. Second St. (at the corner of Second and North Main Streets in downtown Dayton) or by calling 888-228-3630 to reserve tickets. A valid active-duty military, veteran or government civilian ID must be presented in person.

The scholarship program will use the DPAA process already established for other DPAA scholarship programs and will be available to eligible military families applying to DPAA after-school programs. You can find more information here.
